Frequently asked questions
What counts as a "search"?
One search is one POST /api/v1/search request. We don't count the playground, dashboard previews, or internal health checks.
What if I outgrow the Free tier?
Talk to us. We'll move you to a single-tenant hosted plan sized for your traffic. We don't currently meter usage on the Free tier — but we'll let you know before you hit a wall.
Is my data portable?
Yes. Every record can be exported as JSON from the dashboard at any time, and the full Elasticsearch / Meilisearch / Algolia-compatible index format is documented in our API reference. You can leave without losing anything.
Do you offer student / OSS discounts?
Yes — open-source maintainers and students get the Free tier's limits raised on request. Email [email protected] with a link to your project or school.
